Collaborative Research Grants

National Endowment for the Humanities

The Collaborative Research grant program encourages collaboration that proposes diverse approaches to topics, incorporates multiple points of view, and explores new avenues of inquiry that lead to publications and other resources for humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Collaborative Research grants support groups of two or more scholars engaging in significant and sustained research in the humanities. The program seeks to encourage projects in a single field of study, as well as interdisciplinary work, both within the humanities and beyond. (Closing Date: December 5, 2018)

 

FY 2018 DRL Internet Freedom Annual Program Statement

Department of State, Bureau of Democracy Human Rights and Labor

The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announces a Request for Statements of Interest (RSOI) from organizations interested in submitting Statements of Interest (SOI) for programs that support Internet Freedom. In support of the U.S. International Strategy for Cyberspace, DRL’s goal is to protect the open, interoperable, secure, and reliable Internet by promoting fundamental freedoms, human rights, and the free flow of information online through integrated support to civil society for technology, digital safety, policy and advocacy, and applied research programs. San Francisco Bay Water Quality Improvement Fund, FY2018

Environmental Protection Agency

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 9 (EPA) is soliciting proposals from eligible entities under this announcement to improve water quality and restore aquatic habitat (i.e. wetlands) in San Francisco Bay and its watersheds. Proposals must fully describe the scope of the project, budget, and environmental results. EPA will use the criteria described in Section V to evaluate eligible proposals. Applicants should consider the information provided for each evaluation criterion. (Closing Date: October 3, 2018)

 

Dysregulation and Proximal Risk for Suicide (R21 Clinical Trial Optional)

Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health

A major goal of research on suicide is to improve our understanding of who is at most risk, why people transition from suicidal thoughts to action, and when to intervene (Prioritized Research Agenda for Suicide Prevention, Short-term Objective 1.C). Risk is a dynamic process and suicide attempts are often preceded by acute stressors. While many studies of suicide risk focus on emotion dysregulation, fewer studies have examined Arousal and Regulation and how these domains dynamically shape emotional and cognitive functions such as response to reward, frustrative non-reward, cognitive flexibility and control, or decision-making. Very few studies in the NIMH portfolio on suicide risk have focused on proximal risk. This FOA will fund research that will address these gaps, provide understanding of the mechanisms of how dysregulation interacts with Cognition, Negative and Positive Valence to determine time-varying risk, and identify modifiable targets for timely interventions during high risk periods. Technical Assistance Program 2019

Department of the Interior

The Technical Assistance Program (TAP) provides grant funding for short-term projects intended to meet the immediate needs of the insular areas. OIA’s priorities are as follows: Accountability, financial management, economic development, education, energy production, management control initiatives, disaster assistance, natural and cultural resources, capacity building, public safety/emergencies, health initiatives, and invasive species management.
