The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to design and implement a program(s) to identify and train young artists in counties along the Kenyan coast to build their capacity and promote their talents. The project supports the Embassy’s strategic goals of improving governance and supporting economic prosperity through outreach, engagement, and training to disaffected and at-risk youth.

 

Catalysts for Change: Accelerating the Anti-trafficking Movement in Eastern India

Department of State, U.S. Mission to India

Current Closing Date for Applications: March 16, 2019

The primary goal of this funding opportunity is to encourage intra- and interstate stakeholder collaboration to strengthen the fight against human trafficking. Secondary goals for this program include promoting the empowerment of women and girls through peer leadership, fostering youth leadership and development, and strengthening resilience safety nets against human trafficking through multiple stakeholder collaboration.

 

Logistics and Administrative Implementation of Legal Clinics

Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics-Law Enforcement

Current Closing Date for Applications: February 11, 2019 

The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to establish fully functional legal clinics in criminal law at two law schools in the country – one being part of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University which is a non-profit state university and one being part of Southeast European University which is a private-public not for profit entity. This will be an opportunity for law school students to obtain trial and case practice before they graduate and take the bar exam.
