Comment Policy

You are encouraged, but not required, to share your thoughts, ideas, and information on this website, or any other website owned or administered by the Program Management Office (PMO) where commenting is supported. However, the PMO’s blog is not intended to serve as a public forum.

The views expressed in the Comments section or a commenter’s social media profile(s) reflect those of the individual(s) who authored the comment(s) and may not reflect those of the PMO or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Comments on this blog are moderated to ensure a respectful, constructive, and non-discriminatory dialogue. As a result, comments submitted for consideration are not immediately visible. All comments are reviewed before they can be posted to ensure compliance with this policy. Be advised that the PMO does not plan to respond to individual comments or questions on a routine basis.

To maintain a respectful dialogue, please use the following guidelines when posting comments:

1) Stay focused. All viewpoints are welcome, but comments should remain relevant to the blog post and Off-topic posts are prohibited.

2) Be respectful. Personal attacks, profanity, and aggressive behavior are prohibited. Instigating arguments in a disrespectful way is also prohibited. Comments with any of the following elements are also prohibited:

  1. Any comments with personal attacks of any kind or vulgar, obscene, profane, threatening, or abusive language
  2. Discriminatory language (including hate speech) based on race, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability

3) Tell the truth. Spreading misleading or false information is prohibited.

4) No spam. Repeated posting of identical or very similar content in a counter-productive manner is prohibited — this includes posts aggressively promoting services or products. Comments with any of the following elements are also prohibited:

  1. Endorsements of commercial products, services, organizations, or other entities
  2. Repetitive posts (for example, if you submit the same idea multiple times)
  3. Spam or undecipherable language (gratuitous links will be viewed as spam)

5) Other prohibited comments:

  1. Copyright infringement
  2. Links to external sites
  3. Solicitation of funds
  4. Procurement-sensitive information related to any current/future government grant or acquisition
  5. Surveys, polls, and questionnaires subject to the Office of Management and Budget Paperwork Reduction Act clearance
  6. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Sensitive Information (SI)

We retain the discretion to determine which comments violate our comment policy. We also reserve the right to remove and/or not allow comments to get posted.

We recognize that the Web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage federal resources (i.e. – your tax dollars), moderating and posting comments should only be expected to occur during regular business hours.

Reporters are asked to send questions to the necessary media office through their normal channels and to refrain from submitting questions here as comments. Reporter questions will not be posted nor answered.

In submitting your comments to a website, you irrevocably grant permission to copy, distribute, make derivatives, display, or perform your work publicly and free-of-charge.

When you voluntarily enter comments, profile information (e.g., name and email), likes, shares, and other digital interactions on the Community Blog, or other social media platforms, you are sharing information with the public. You are voluntarily posting optional fields of information to the public that can be viewed by others.

When you choose to engage with the Community Blog by subscribing to the blog, commenting on the blog, or subscribing to receive notifications for comments, we collect the following PII: your name, email address, and website.

When posting a comment you may provide your name, email address, and/or website URL. Your name is associated with your comment and displayed to the public, while your email address and website are not displayed to the public. We do not share your email address or website outside of the PMO. You may also choose to associate your comment with your Twitter or Facebook account by logging into those accounts and your Twitter or Facebook profile will be displayed to the public. You also have the option to comment anonymously and not provide any PII. You do not need to provide any PII to only read the blog.

When subscribing for notifications to the blog, you must provide an email address to receive email notifications of new blog posts or new comments.
